Sometimes an animal needs
high energy nutrition in a hurry, STAT High Calorie Liquid Diet
and Dietary Supplement combats dehydration and maintains nutrient
balances in convalescing, underweight or lactating animals.Each
ounce of STAT provides 150 calories containing vitamins and minerals that
maintain constant therapeutic blood levels. STAT may be fed 'as
is' to animals that are unable to eat, or top-dressed over the animal's
normal diet. The palatable, highly concentrated source of food
energy in STAT has been proven to be of value in many different stress related
conditions, including:
- Pregnant and lactating females. STAT is
added to the pregnant animal's normal diet during the last ½ of
the gestation period to provide additional high quality calories.
The caloric requirements of a lactating female can be three
times as great as those for non-lactating females. STAT is
added to the animal's normal diet.
- Underweight animals suffering from conditions
resulting from malnutrition, parasite infestation or debilitating
disease. STAT is added to the animal's normal diet to promote
recovery.
- Dehydrated animals. Mixed with water, STAT
may be used to combat the effects of dehydration due to prolonged
fever, diarrhea or certain kidney conditions. STAT is diluted
with 10 parts drinking water. Animal's will generally drink
more STAT-treated water than water alone; diluted STAT may
be administered orally to severely ill animals.
- Geriatric animals. Most animals suffering
from permanently reduced kidney function, a common condition
in older animals, can be satisfactorily maintained by reducing
the animal's intake of commercial pet food by half and replacing
it with STAT.
