PRODUCT INFORMATION

DESCRIPTION:

A proprietary, advanced 3-layer veterinary surgical drape that has auto-clavable properties (do not “flash” autoclave), Polydrape Surgical Drape has excellent breathability. The 3-layer structure readily allows gases and vapors to pass through. May also be sterilized using ethylene oxide procedure.

PRODUCT FACTS:

Composed of non-woven polypropylene.

Latex free.

Administration:

Sterility guaranteed unless package opened, wet or damaged. Discard any open, wet or damaged package.

Do not exceed 248°F. Slight shrinkage (up to 7%) may occur.

CAUTIONS:

Environmental concerns dictate the safe and efficient disposal of hospital waste. Local regulations permitting and if properly prepared, Polydrape™ Non-Woven Polypropylene Veterinary Surgical Drape fabric can be disposed of via incineration or landfill. Given the proper combustion parameters, polypropylene fabric will burn almost completely, generating water vapor and carbon dioxide and leaving a small amount of mineral ash residue. Furthermore, polypropylene has a heating value roughly equivalent to that of home heating oil (one pound of polypropylene is equivalent to one pound of #2 heating oil). Polypropylene in the incinerator feed can increase the heat value of the fuel and the energy yield of heat-recovery systems. Landfill is also an alternative for disposing of Polydrape™ Non-Woven Polypropylene Veterinary Surgical Drape. While not biodegradable, it is chemically inert, and will not in itself emit hazardous substances if properly decontaminated.
